Finding Revenue Sharing Sites
Being a writer is certainly easier in self given titles then it is in real life practice. In days gone by the only way that people made money from their writing was a lot of hope, hard work, and a dash of luck often thrown in. This can still happen. You can still send in your writing to all the write publishers and finally get published, but it takes time, effort, work, and stamps (lots of stamps). When it comes to article writing it is very debatable as to whether or not it is worth it. Now there is the Internet and writers, freelancers, and hopeful writers (those that are still writers in self given titles only) can go and work hard to make money writing. It gives the opportunity to make money doing what we (after all, here I sit at my computer working hard to make money as well) doing what we love. However, figuring out where to turn isn't always easy to do. How does one find a good site to write for then? Know What You Are Looking For. There are tons of options out there for you to write and make money. You can write articles, reviews, and even rankings and make money. No matter what you do, if you are wanting to make a nice chunk of change you are going to have to write a lot, but how you get paid and the things you want to do are things you will have to decide for yourself. Many revenue sharing sites will not pay you, but will instead have you place your Google Adsense code into their system. You will then get money from having the ads on your articles some of the time (most sites do a 50% of the time, but some do more and others do less). If this doesn't appeal to you there are a few other options out there, but not many. Get Out There. While it seems that it should be simple to find thousands of sites out there (after all with all the sites online...), but searching "make money" or "writing" or even "revenue sharing" can help you find some sites, it is often hard to find a lot of good information doing that. Instead getting out there and joining communities of people looking to make money can be the better solution. There are lots of these communities and some great places to start are paid to post forums and money making forums. These people work hard to make money online and many of them will be those who write for money. Give It a Go. Once you have found a site, you may still not have found a money maker or even a site that you like writing for. However it is important that you give it a go and see what you can find out. Write several reviews, articles, or rankings (I always recommend around 20 to begin with). See how you like the system, the site, and how your articles are getting traffic and where it is coming from. Some sites have better natural traffic then others. Some have a great set up while others are frustrating. When deciding to work for a site you will want to figure out all the things that the site offers you including money, readership, and even ease of use and satisfaction from your writing. Ask Around. Whether you have decided to stick with a site or you have let a site go, it is a good idea to work with lots of sites so that you have lots of streams of income. This is more secure (in case the site goes under or something goes wrong). It also offers you more options. Go back to the communities and ask around. Find out about more sites. New ones come every day and old ones can get discovered and produce great results. If you have time, you can find lists of revenue sharing sites by doing a search. However, it does take a lot of time and often comes with a lot of false information. You then have to shift through the sites to find good ones, but it can be done. Finding revenue sharing sites doesn't have to be really difficult, however it can be very helpful to have a goal and to figure out where you want to go with it. You can make money with your writing with out mailing articles out and hoping to sell them! |
