Save Money At The Store
Spending money is so easy to do. Before you even realize, you can blow through your budget and be left wondering what it is you bought. This doesn't have to be you anymore. You can come up with a method that works for you and that makes it easy for you to save money all while keeping in your budget and getting the things you really need. Understand where you spend too much Many of us are impulse buyers. We go to the store with perfectly good intentions and walk out with a number of things that we just don't need. We will spend extra on those items and we often find them in locations where they were put to encourage us to buy them. Most of them will be items that we will say, "Oh I could use that!" However, a little of this and a little of that and those small purchases can certainly add up. If this is you, you can combat this problem fairly easily. On the other hand, there are others who spend only what they intend to spend and still find themselves over budget and over spent come the end of the month. This problem is also one that can be fixed. Whatever your major spending vise is, only you can identify it. Identifying it is the first step to saving money, spending less, and even for planning for the future. With a little bit of planning, a touch of extra work we can cut down the money that you spend at the store and make it so that you can use that money for something else, or stop going over budget to begin with. The List. The list is really a very important part of saving money. You will want to put a list in a good place that it is easy for everyone to add things to the list as you run out of things. Out of peanut butter, add it to the list. Use the last egg, add it to the list. It is also a good idea to check out your bathroom to see if you are running low on things like shampoo and soap or your laundry room to find out if you need more supplies there. Then you will want to do a quick stock of the pantry and or cupboards and the refrigerator. Be generous with you list so that you can go over it and decide what you really need. Cut the List. Whether it was your kids, you, or your husband you may find duplicate items on the list (do you really need ten bags of chips?) You will want to go through the list and make sure that you are only getting the things that you really need. Cut duplicate items, items you probably won't use, excess junk food, and a lot of pre-packaged foods. If you need easy then freeze your own when you make lots (double the batch eat one now and one in two or three weeks). Limit your junk food so that you are eating healthier and not spending a ton of money on foods that are gone quickly without adding to your diet. This alone can save lots of money! Stick to It. Once at the store you have to stick to the list. You can't let yourself get side tracked into buying ten items that are on sale, but that you don't really need, or junk food, or other items that aren't on the list. Work hard to stick with what the list has to offer. The more items you are tossing in the cart that aren't on the list, the more money you are spending to do just that. If you stick with what is on the list you will save money. While it sounds overly simplified, this really can work at saving you money. You can also cut some junk foods from your list and get healthier options at the same time. With a little practice and a little work you can soon find yourself sticking with the plan and saving money left and right! |

At the grocery store, I find that usually the essentials, milk, produce and meat are along the outer areas of the store. It's when one walks all of the isles that temptation sets in. 5* intel for sure.
